About Additions

How Additions Started

Additions, founded by the world-renowned artist and designer Debbie Wingham, was a natural evolution of her talent for shifting between creative mediums. After years of inquiries about her occupation, she would say that she adds the finishing touches, garnishes, and additions to people's homes and special occasions. Although not an event coordinator, she often took on the role of creative director for events, showcases, and launches, adding those final touches that often sparked media frenzies for extraordinary activations for both private clients and large corporate brands.

Debbie Wingham has been an artist for over two decades, garnering a global following, a strong media presence, and recognition as a TV personality.

Her work continues to feature in leading publications such as Forbes, Vogue, Vanity Fair, and Harper's, and on TV networks like the BBC, CNN, E! Entertainment, Apple TV, RTL, and NBC, among others.

With a robust digital marketing background and over 3 million Instagram followers, she thinks outside the box, which is crucial for the modern market. She knew that Additions needed to be more than an event and props hire company; it's a comprehensive A-Z event and activation solution that collaborates with industry leaders, enlisting their expertise as needed. The immersive offerings set them apart from competitors and include experiences like 360 photo booths, a favorite on Hollywood's red carpets. The technologically advanced aspect of Additions not only enhances interactivity but also enables the capture of special moments. For corporate brands, we offer the addition of logo placement and data collection features, which are far more advanced than traditional methods of client information gathering. For more personal events, the content captured can be customized and date-stamped.

Wingham began her career in haute couture, then transitioned to fondant, dominating the world of sugar artistry. Food Network named her the “Countess of Confection,” and she remains one of the top ten cake artists globally. Continuously evolving, she launched a fine art collection that has become iconic, particularly known for her "Drip Effect silhouette."

Debbie Wingham has demonstrated that it's possible to juggle multiple art forms without being confined to a single path.

She always had the vision to introduce a more affordable commercial product to the market, which led to the creation of the Haute Floristry business. Consider it a brand within the Additions portfolio; these Haute Floristry pieces not only serve as stunning event centerpieces but also as unique gifting experiences. In true Wingham fashion, she aimed to incorporate her first love fashion along with eco-friendly principles, offering gifting experiences that are sustainable, featuring eternal flowers that last for years. The flowers are presented in what can best be described as artistic vases and even in some cases fashion accessories. All items are designed to be timeless, reusable, and made from eco-conscious materials. Wingham believed that including mini pastries would elevate these experiences. Hence, she opted to name them 'gifting experiences' instead of 'gift boxes' to emphasise the sensory journey they provide, appealing to taste, smell, and sight.
